We realize that choosing an assisted living community can be challenging, so we have listed our most frequently asked questions for you. If there is something that is not answered here, please contact us so we can answer any questions you may have.


Q: What services do you provide?

A: We provide a number of services and amenities, including:

  • Three delicious, healthy meals daily
  • Assistance with bathing, dressing and toileting activities
  • Periodic transfer assistance
  • Beauty/Barber Shop

  • Assistance getting to and from local businesses

Q: What kind of food do you provide and is it nutritious?

A: We provide restaurant style dining with Home Cooked meals such as broiled chicken breast with green beans, cream potatoes and yummy rolls. For more information about our dietary program, or to see a sample menu, please click here.


Q: What activities for the residents do you offer?

A: Our activities program is based off the needs and requests of our Residents. Such as exercise, shopping trips, and crafts. The activities calendar for The Gardens at Hawkins can be found here, or for The Gardens at Livingston is located here.


Q: May I have a pet?

A: No, we do not allow our residents to have pets.


Q: Who pays for the care?

A: The Gardens at Livingston at this time is a Private Pay facility with a CBA contract pending. There is also a VA program if you qualify. The Gardens at Hawkins has some Private Pay options along with CBA contract. We are very helpful and understanding, so if you have questions about payment options, please contact us!


Q: Does your facility take Medicare or Medicaid?

A: Yes, we do. Please contact us for details on these programs.


Q: May Mom or Dad have company?

A: We welcome visitors! Overall, this is your Parents' home, and they may have company at any time during the day, with or without notice. If you are visiting overnight, we do ask that you feel out a visitor sheet. We also have a guest quarters available which you can reserve in advance at The Gardens at Livingston.


Q: May Mom or Dad drive?

A: Yes! Your parents may drive along as their doctor says it is O.K. and they have a valid license.
